Elephants & Baobabs
Begin your Tanzanian adventure with a morning departure from Arusha. Travel to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and stunning baobab landscapes. The park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and over 550 bird species.
Enjoy a full day game drive with picnic lunch in the park. Watch elephants interact at waterholes and spot predators hunting in the grasslands. Check into your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Journey to the Plains
After breakfast, journey toward the legendary Serengeti. Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at the crater viewpoint for breathtaking photos. Continue to the Serengeti's central Seronera region.
Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five and the Great Migration. Settle into your lodge or tented camp as the sun sets over the endless plains.
Seronera Wildlife Experience
Experience a full day exploring the Serengeti's heart. The Seronera River Valley is known for its high concentration of predators including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Visit Retima Hippo Pool and the Maasai and Moru Kopjes.
Optional early morning hot air balloon safari available (additional cost). Watch the sun rise over the plains and see wildlife from above. Enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush before continuing your game drive.
Following the Migration
Travel north through the Serengeti, following the path of the Great Migration. The Northern Serengeti offers spectacular wildlife viewing with fewer crowds. This area is famous for river crossings when the migration passes through (typically July-October).
Game drive through the Lobo Valley and Bologonja Springs. Look for large prides of lions and herds of elephants. Overnight at a mobile camp or lodge in the north.
Morning Game Drive & Scenic Journey
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti before beginning your journey south. Watch for predators during their most active hours and say goodbye to the endless plains.
Drive through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for photos and a picnic lunch. Arrive at your crater rim lodge in the late afternoon with spectacular views of the caldera below.
The Crater Floor & Flamingos
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is a natural sanctuary for approximately 25,000 large animals, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, and hippos.
After a full morning in the crater, ascend and drive to Lake Manyara. Check into your lodge with views over the Rift Valley escarpment. Relax and prepare for your final game drive tomorrow.
Tree-Climbing Lions & Departure
Explore Lake Manyara National Park on your final game drive. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and beautiful groundwater forest. Look for blue monkeys, baboons, and elephants in the forest.
Enjoy lunch at a viewpoint overlooking the lake before driving back to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of your incredible Tanzanian safari adventure.
